Do "high church" elements exist within organizations such as the Churches of Christ or Southern Baptist, or is the status of "high church" something reserved for Catholics and Episcopalians?

While there are certainly very conservative worship elements within Evangelical Protestant denominations, is it a misnomer to label them "high church"?

The MSM bizarrely defines evangelicals as "conservative Protestant". Under that definition, every traditionalist Anglican, Lutheran or Presbyterian is a high church evangelical.

As for Atlas' much better definition, I don't think so. I don't know of any Baptists, Campbellite, or Pentecostal congregation that follows the liturgical year for example. There might be the odd one, but they aren't even a significant minority IMO.

Some Baptists would qualify.

Oh yeah you just reminded me. Seventh-day Adventists would qualify.

Seeing some of my Ingress portal keys reminded me of the Evangelical Free Church. They DEFINITELY would qualify, though they aren't very common or well known outside the Midwest.

A related denomination that would as well is the Evangelical Covenant Church, who are from the same vein and roots as the EFC, but a bit more liberal.
