as an atheist it is somewhat odd that i support this religious nutjob's fight for freedom.  but i believe in democracy, unlike our current president who supports the current tyranny in egypt (because he is afraid to stand up to israel.)

HP, but I'm not quite sure he's the biggest HP in the Egyptian political context.

HP, though the coup was terrible and he was a legitimate, democratically elected leader.

HP. An Islamist (no matter how comparatively moderate) has no place running the affairs of a state in such close proximity to Europe and Israel.

HP. I would prefer that the United States not be involved in the internal affairs of the Egyptian government, whether it be to bolster a democratically-elected tyrant or a traditionally-"elected" one. Of course now is a bit late to implement that policy, since they have been supportive of both sides of this conflict at different times, thus guaranteeing that everyone will be pissed off.

What freedom? Freedom to treat other people like crap for not sharing his regressive religious beliefs?
