John Kennedy 32%
Charles Boustany 10%
Foster Campbell 9%
John Fleming 5%
Rob Maness 4%
Caroline Fayard 4%
Troy Hebert 2%
Eric Skrmetta 1%
Undecided 32%

Democrats and Blacks are more undecided than Republicans and Whites, so this looks like it will be a R vs. D race in the runoff.

"David Vitter, I knew John Kennedy, John Kennedy was a friend of mine, Senator, you're no John Kennedy."

No love for my boy Joe Cao?

Oh well. Looks like most of the top Republican candidates are fine, especially when you consider that this is a Republican state.

The best possible hope, in my mind, is if there is MANESSMENTUM and it's a Maness v. Campbell run-off

Maness is running a better campaign than Fleming, IMO, so I'm not that suprized there.

Most of Cao's supporters probably declared as "Undecided". So, if that 32% is all a so, or only 90% is, that's still 30% and a statistical tie!

I think Campbell vs. squishy establishment R would be a lot better for him than Campbell vs. insurgent R to keep rural turnout down a bit.  Imagine if JBE had a runoff against Angelle.  He would have been swamped.

Idk, Angelle is not a super insurgent extremist like Maness. Angelle had a political past, former Democrat, and was more socially conservative than he was fiscally. The most right-wing Republican in the Governors race was, easily, David Vitter.

Despite being elected to the House, Cao is basically a nobody.
