Rs get more border security and increases in DOD spending , dems get PP funding, EPA funding, among other things.

This was only a "loss" in the political sense of the word. The things that needed to be funded are still being funded.

The only people upset seem to be the hardcore R's who demand a wall and a defunded PP.

Classic DC "compromise" - both sides get the spending they want, then they look at the deficit and blame the other side.

I find myself agreeing with you. I like what's kept and what's increased

It's nice that things didn't end in disaster, but it's true that we are still in the same position of spending trillions we don't have and demagoguing uselessly over it.

The work of Planned Parenthood saves the federal government much money, and the border wall is a fiscal waste and an environmental disaster. This is a reasonable compromise.

All those praising the budget deal should remember that this only came about due to the filibuster. It provides a measure of stability to our system.

The DoD increase is just a drop in the bucket of whats going to be needed to replenish our depleted military.  I hope McCain filibusters.
