I know this is not a question about the 2020 election, but this may be among the issues of the 2020 election.

So, we all know there are debates on whether the United States should provide weapons to Syrian rebels to fight ISIS, but apparently some of these rebels are themselves related to ISIS, are fighting for ISIS and would use these provided weapons to fight anti-ISIS forces and take control of  Syria and make it a terrorist heaven. Though we know that Kurds are fighting ISIS and the U.S. are arming them.

So the question is, since Syrian rebels are not U.S. citizens, would you support a back-ground checks on the Syrian rebels before providing them weapons in order to make sure that the U.S. will not unwillingly provide weapons to terrorists?

If we do it, definitely, but I would really not like us to be getting so involved in Syria.

Most Republicans I talk to are anti-FSA.
