Rednecks for Obama aren't supporting an existential threat against themselves.

Neither are out of place. (I didn't vote in the poll).

Choosing a political program from between two among several alternatives is complex, requiring higher-order thinking skills. If anything, I admire those (like my aunt, who lived in a county that voted 3-1 Reagan in 1984, who told me she voted for Mondale even though she knew he wouldn't win) who go "against the grain" of what people in their "group" are suppose to think.

Existential threat to Muslims this guy isn't.

But, then again,

There were plenty of redneck Obama general election supporters, I think, though many defected in 2012. Remember Elliott County, KY. Redneck Obama 2008 primary supporters would probably be much more out of place than Muslim Trump supporters, though.
