It was the eve of the Iowa Caucuses, sitting in his small campaign Headquarters, this man was desperately trying- and set, to make history. As the figure sat back in his chair, watching with his family, the flatscreen TV had just blurted "And now we begin our coverage of the 2020 Democratic Iowa Caucus!!!". What had caused this, other political "anomaly" to happen? What was his "appeal" that people spoke of? Could he really pull this off?

Iowa Caucus Results (100% in)Sad

Fmr. Rep. John Delaney: 21.3%
Sen. Cory Booker: 18.1%
Sen. Kamala Harris: 17.9%
Sen. Elizabeth Warren: 15.9%
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard: 6.9%
Rep. Tim Ryan: 5.9%
Sen. Amy Klobuchar: 5.5%
Gov. Andrew Cuomo. 5.2%
Mayor Eric Garcetti: 3.2%
Fmr. Gov. Martin O'Malley: 1.0%

The Victory:

"...Thank you Iowa!!! Thank you!!! You've given yourselves a loyal voice, a loyal representative, an experienced newly made outsider, who can bring change to Washington!!! You've given not just yourselves, but all of the working class people a clear vision to focus on the future!!!! Thank you so much!!! You've put us on a path to defeat the Republican corruption machine!!!! Let's work together!!! Thank you!!!..."

The news had blurted out that three candidates had dropped out following Iowa, Warren was extremely disappointed and was considering dropping out, neighboring Senator Amy Klobuchar polled very poorly due to her being unable to charm the voters, as she was very bland, Representative Tim Ryan was taking his hat out of the ring to preserve his political "future", and former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley decided to give up and endorse Delaney. The surge of donations for Delaney, Booker, and Harris were overflowing. Delaney had his sights set on New Hampshire and South Carolina, to win those two to attempt to seal the nomination before other candidates could have a chance to shine. Kamala Harris, Eric Garcetti, and Tulsi Gabbard were hellbent on taking New Hampshire... While Booker and Cuomo looked to South Carolina to save their chances.

As the Massachusetts Senator sat awestruck by the results, she knew what she had to do. She had missed her opportunity, but she was a well known progressive voice... Knowing she was all but certain of being left out of the Democratic ticket, and had no more than a minuscule chance of being able to pull back in New Hampshire, her plans were set.

"...My friends... I have come to the conclusion that I am no longer a viable candidate for President of the United States... I will make no endorsement at this time... Just a plea to vote your conscience, please put a good progressive in office and replace the orange buffoon's right hand man.... Thank you..."

A New Progressive Voice

2020 New Hampshire Democratic Primary Results (100% in)Sad

John Delaney: 26.4%
Tulsi Gabbard: 23.9%
Kamala Harris: 22.0%
Cory Booker: 10.0%
Eric Garcetti: 9.0%
Andrew Cuomo: 6.0%

Her smile was perhaps its biggest ever since she was first elected, or maybe married, who knows? Tulsi sat on her couch, her legs crossed and up. She was the underdog, likely to be in fourth place, and she pulled off second tonight. She had an excuse to continue her campaign. She was the future. Not someone with some bullsh#t fake appeal. She had an excellent speech to deliver.

"I've failed my father's hopes and dreams..." he thought... There's no way the New York Governor could pull back a win in South Carolina, the support wasn't there. He had a potential to maybe get third or something, though. "Is that really a way to run a campaign?" he thought to himself.. The donors stopped coming, there was really no reason to continue on.... But he decided he would wait for the next poll before dropping out...

CNN South Carolina Democratic Primary Poll:

John Delaney: 30.4%
Cory Booker: 25.1%
Kamala Harris: 19.0%
Andrew Cuomo: 10.1%
Tulsi Gabbard: 7.5%
Eric Garcetti: 7.5%

CNN National Democratic Primary Poll:

John Delaney: 25.1%
Cory Booker: 19.8%
Kamala Harris: 15.6%
Tulsi Gabbard: 15.4%
Andrew Cuomo: 9.6%
Eric Garcetti: 6.5%

"...I have to go back to New York. It's been an honor and I love ya all, but America has spoken... I will be withdrawing from the Democratic Primary, I make no endorsement at this time... But boy, we have some great candidates..."
