And the other thread. Note: In Ireland the 'main centre-right party' is whichever one of the two abominations happens to be in government.

My ranking would look something like this:

1. National
2. Fine Gael (ugh...)
3. Australian Liberals (it says a lot they're this high)
4. Canadian Tories
5. UK Tories
6. Republicans

1. Tories
2. Other Tories
3. Rethuglicans
4. Not Fianna Fáil
5. XXXX-drinking bogans

I know nothing about NZ politics. I just buy their butter and cheer against their rugby team.

1. Canadian Tories
2. U.S. Republicans
3. Liberal-National Coalition
3. British Tories
4. Fine Gael

And I don't support the National Party in New Zealand anymore. I back ACT New Zealand now.

Views-wise, probably one of the Tories, but the GOP is my "favorite."

But it's all very close and I'd easily vote for all of them.

National have had a moderate and technocratic period in office with Key and Mr Snooze, but they had some hideous governments in the 90's and also gave the world the most incompetent postwar leader of all six countries (yes, even more incompetent than Trump, McMahon, Eden, Heath, Haughey, Cowen, Campbell...). I guess if this is removing history from the decision, I would easily vote National, otherwise Fine Gael (and yes, I know how they started as fascists).

Can those voicing opinions about non-American/British parties, can you please state why? Even if us yankees know a little about each, it is likely not enough to navigate the subtleties of each.

As of right now:
1. NZ Nationals
2. UK Tories
3. Canadian Tories
4. US Republicans
5. Australian Liberals
6. Fine Gael

(Historically though, my favorites would have been the Australian Liberals and UK Tories, not sure about the order for the rest)
