It really depends how strong the inevitable revolt from the Progressive Berniecrats is. We could have a competitive election with a spoiler candidate ala Nader making Trump more competitive. We could have Trump win 19(1/9)2 style. Or we could have a leftist firebrand against Trump with the moderate hero unity ticket forced to double down on bipartisan moderates after being completely rejected by all progressives.

This applies here and to other unity ticket suggestions like Carter/Bush.

They would win 538-0, obviously.

I'm thinking 545-0, actually.  The ticket would be so popular that Congress would grant statehood to Puerto Rico, just to give them more electoral votes to win.

Are you kidding? You have no idea what you are talking about! It would actually be 84728478374-0. Congress would grant statehood to Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and all countries in the world, just to give them more electoral votes to win.

Compromise option: 778-0. So popular, Congress enacts the Cube Root rule.

In all seriousness, this ticket would be lucky to do as well as Gary Johnson did last year. Delaney and Gilmore are both complete jokes.

I doubt many will vote for a unity ticket, and even fewer if the "unfiers" are both unknowns like this.
