I will stand by this, not because this is what conventional political knowledge dictates, but because I want to believe that people (at the state level), regardless of their fundamental political ideologies in the U.S., are overall better than this.

This is the most lopsided poll result I've ever seen on Atlas (currently 1 Yes, 33 No).

Oh, I'm ready. I'm not naive, but I choose to believe that there is good in people whenever possible.

I think the only way he 'wins' is if national Republicans cast a vote for him as a vote for a re-do, promising to expel him should he win. Otherwise Jones will win and become a senator until 2020. Roy Moore will not drop out as he lacks any sense of decency or morality. He's a sexual predator and I hope the authorities find evidence based on recent testimony of a charge that has not yet surpassed the statute of limitations.

Jones would be a better Seantor for Alabama than would possibly be elected under normal conditions, but I'm not holding my breathe on this one. Republicans will find a way with over a month left to not elect a Democrat in Alabama.
