Well, I don't know if they had posted bail and been out before the general election or not.  There's always some freaky savage  stuff going on somewhere and moreso in the rural south.  This was obviously a notch more deplorable than most.

No... In fact there are days I post no news at all.

I prefer to post news that other posters wouldn't post for whatever reason...be it depressing, irrelevant to Western Politics or local in nature to someone.

Oh, it all has significance.  While cases involving adult autistic cases are rare (I hope) foster care systems, especially in regions hit hard by the overdose/opoid whatever you want to call it epidemic have been stretched beyond their limits.  Grandparents are raising kids at record levels in place like WV and Indiana and it almost certainly plays a part in the declining domestic birth rate.

I've never seen the point in sharing depressing human interest stories. They're completely irrelevant to anyone except the people involved and local authorities, and regardless, there's nothing we can do about them. It just seems like spreading misery for no reason IMO.
