I have received my postal ballot yesterday, but still don't know which party to vote for.

You struck me as a Freedom Party voter.

I have never voted for the FP since I turned 18 (the voting age was lowered to 16 later).

NEOS if you want to vote based on EU issues and are pro-EU (I think they are openly advocating for "United states of Europe"!). I guess if people who want to leave the EU can protest vote, so can remainers Tongue

SPÖ if you want to vote based on Austrian issues and/or are neutral on the EU.

As much as Tender appears far right because of his positions on inmigration and crime, he is actually a genuine swing voter (AustrianSwingVoter? Tongue ) or even left leaning

Thanks for your votes.

I have now decided that I will vote for NEOS and more specifically Claudia Gamon (their frontrunner) this time.

The core issues of NEOS regarding Europe are closest to my views (even though I agree on some others more with the SPÖ or the Greens, or even the FPÖ on immigration).

But Claudia Gamon is the only young and female candidate, whereas all the other parties only have old men competing. Besides, I have voted for the SPÖ, ÖVP and Greens in the past already.

Also, Gamon has a good sense of humour:

"Debate with Harald Vilimsky (FPÖ)."

Are the NEOs closer to the center than the German FDP on economic issues? They're more like LREM in France?
