Polls opened in Italy an hour ago and I am working there once again. Updates later!

Polls just closed in Italy for the first of two days. I can tell you turnout in the precinct I am working at was 13.7%, I don't know how long it will take to get the national result.

Also I have only now realized that I never updated the thread title. I shall do that after the European elections are over.

Wow, that's bleak. Then again, I guess people here aren't used to voting on Saturdays? Hopefully a lot more people will vote tomorrow.

The only precedent I can find for this is the 2004 and 2009 European elections, but I can't find partial turnout data for them, so I don't know how to assess this.

I find this quite surprising, but I may be overestimating usual levels of turnout in my city. Anyway, polls just opened again.

Polls just closed in Italy. Final turnout for this precinct is just above 45%, quite depressing.

PD overperforming the polls, M5S underperforming, Forza Italia likely above Lega, the centrists not doing great. All just as I expected. Since I don't want to toot my own horn too much I will say that I was unprepared for the massive breakthrough the Green-Left is having.
