Ahh yes, Annette "defeated a very strong GOP opponent to become one of the first Trump-era special election flippers" Taddeo. Definitely a loser.

Annette "lost to a perennial meme candidate in the primary" Taddeo sounds like a loser to me.
Huh She lost to a former Congressman seeking a rematch in his old district. Not exactly a "perennial meme candidate"

Who got there by beating the most corrupt Congressman of 2012.

You will pardon me if I don't anything a Republican says seriously.

Pwople who care about this were never voting Democratic in the first place. Your party will call every Democrat a socialist no matterwhat policies the propose.

Last I checked, that "perennial meme candidate" was the one out of a job, & Annette Taddeo was the one with the successful political career right now. But yeah, she's the loser of the two. Definitely. Sure thing.

Try again, please.

One of the reasons I'd been a little skeptical of Bernie is that I kind of bought into the idea that there was a Great and Fearsome Oppo File that was going to cause all kinds of problems. If this is the big hit, rolled out at such a critical point in the process, I'm a little relieved.

Ah yes. The classic Atlas centrist defense: they know they're beaten in the argument, so they make things up about my positions. Never mind that I have discredited said perennial meme candidate on this very page in this thread. I must be his biggest stan because I said he beat her.

Don't condescend to me when you don't even have an idea of what my positions are.
Your "argument," if you want to grant it that status, is "Taddeo is a loser." Your evidence is that Taddeo lost a primary in 2016. brucejoel99 points out that your evidence is limited, as Taddeo has since won two general elections for that seat and currently represents it in Congress. In response to that, you have decided to bloviate about "Atlas centrists" and make a series of bizarre, unsubstantiated claims that you attribute to the prior poster, none of which seem to have any grounding in what his actual posts are.

Don't condescend about good argumentation when you can't do it yourself.

I'll retract and delete my previous statement. After thinking for more than five minutes on the subject, Bruce's logic is a reasonable leap to make. It's a leap that doesn't represent my actual views on the subject, but I can at least see why he'd connect A to B and make C. Sure, he's probably closer to some of the other centrists here ideologically, but he's not making **** up like they do or detracting from the facts. I'd like to apologize to Bruce for lumping him in with them.

I'll acknowledge the facts that Taddeo won in 2018 twice - something I'm obviously very thankful for. To do so would be detached from reality. However, Taddeo lost a primary in 2016 to a retread candidate who was tainted by scandal. Taddeo also lost in 2014. We can debate what factors led to her losses and victories, but there are facts supporting both assertions in the thread.

In short, my original argument isn't wrong because you don't like the facts backing it up.
