AN ACT
to expand the sales tax exemption to feminine care products.

Section 1 (Title)
i. The title of this Act shall be, the "Pink Tax Repeal Act of 2019."

Section 2 (Creation of tax exception)
i. No state or locality may impose any tax on the sale of feminine hygiene products.
ii. All previous regional, state, or local taxes on the sale of feminine hygiene products are hereby repealed.
iii. No regional sales tax or VAT imposed in the future shall be considered to apply to feminine hygiene products unless explicitly stated in statute.

Debate on this bill has begun and shall last for at least 72 hours

No sales tax levied in Lincoln shall apply to disposable diapers, incontinence products, toilet paper, sanitary napkins, tampons or other similar items used for feminine hygiene.

(b) Conforming amendments. —

All sections of existing regional, state, county, or municipality law that violate Subsection(2)(a) of this Act shall be repealed.

Section 3. Implementation

This Act shall take effect immediately after passage.
