Is BLM a Marxist organisation?

Is Black Lives Matter a Marxist organisation? I haven't seen much evidence for this claim, but I'm open to argument.

Neither the major player Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation nor the group it is apart of, Movement for Black Lives are dominated by “Marxists” nor have many Marxists apart of them. Like, I believe several chapters on the west coast made by more militant members broke apart as the organization became way too close to the Democratic Party establishment. Most members are just young black community leaders, who are very much a multi-class composition, opposed to being second class citizens and, for the more upper class/relatively high income members, not getting opportunities for middle class cushion jobs.

In the Black Lives Matter protests, there were some “Marxists” as I know them out to protest and have led protests, but 90%+ of people out there were led by BLM Global Network and MFBL people, along with a smattering of church leaders and liberal organizations. Most protesters were just out there though to vent the cratering of their living standards as second class citizens in the age of a pandemic and economic crisis.

They are a manifestly revolutionary organisation who want to rip up the fabric of society. They were founded by "trained Marxists". Even if they don't cleave to The Communist Manifesto, their intellectual roots lie in those rather peculiar American Marxist intellectuals who seem quite popular nowadays. It might well be a slightly imprecise use of the term 'Marxist', but it accurately illustrates the cut of their jib.

The main and largest* organization has a co-founder who described herself along with another co-founder as "trained Marxists" (whatever that's supposed to mean lol), while the majority of people who broadly support the movement and ending police brutality and support police reform (like me) aren't Marxists.

The co-founded in question sold out to the establishment for said cushion job, regardless most protest leaders in organized marches were standard community leaders who don’t want to overthrow capitalism sadly, just to advance the community’s living standards.

The BLM organization is not great, and I disagree with their ideology, and the "trained Marxist" bit was moronic. But, the ideology they hold has nothing to do with orthodox Marxism.

I always assumed ‘trained Marxists’ was a reference to so-called “scientific Marxism” and the claims to be able to predict the future which are bound up with that.

Patrisse Cullors, the “trained Marxist” who was taught by Weather Underground figure Bill Ayers himself, has resigned from her position in the Movement for Black Lives. Previously, she was under scrutiny left and right for her actions related to acceptance of financial donations from large corporations and her new house in an upscale area respectively. On the left, such actions led to the defection of the Oakland and LA branches of BLM Global Network Foundation.

BLM is a garbage organization which doesn’t care about black lives.

And for all those who say “that’s only the organization not the movement as a whole”, the movement started from the organization. They are one in the same. If you want a racial justice and anti police brutality decentralized rallying cry, find another slogan.
