No surprise there. I believe she's A-rated by the NRA and hasn't done anything radical, and op top of it, she's pretty darn good looking.

Good to see Thune with an approval over 50% but I wish it were closer to the upper 50s than the lower 50s. He has rebounded, though, from a year or two ago.

Herseth should have a bright future ahead of her.  She could be South Dakota's first female Senator if Tim Johnson retired in 2008, or there first woman Governor and the first Democratic Governor since 1978 in 2010.

The rest are true, but not this one; she was an EMILY's List candidate, in fact.  You're not going to find an anti-abortion vote from her.

To be fair there's been little legislation related to abortion since she was elected, but it's true she's been fairly pro-choice, it's an interesting clevage between Southern "BlueDogs" (Ford, John etc...) and their Western counterparts (Herseth, Baucus etc...) that in general social issues are less important to the latter, that said they are firmly to the right of the Democratic mainstream (which isnt hard).

The other really satisfying thing about the poll was that it showed the following:

SUPPORT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE BAN 41%
OPPOSE SAME-SEX MARRIAGE BAN: 49%
