I think this would happen:

McCain wins a close race in the electoral college (314-224) and maybe by about 4 in the popular vote (51-47)

I think McCain could win back NH and possibly take MI and OR with his moderate appeal, though they would razor thin margins.

McCain keeps all the Bush states, and breaks 60% in the deep south (LA, MD, AL, GA, SC)

McCain wins, what happens in the next two years depends on how many votes Feingold gets.

Feingold would take the midwest.  Certainly he'd take Michigan, probably Iowa too although that could be wicked close.

I can't imagine those two running against each other. That would be very weird since they are rather close.

Has McCain admitted his mistake on his Iraq vote and said that if he was POTUS he would not have invaded Iraq?  If not Feingold wins.
