Well, it took me a while to decide, I have had two very able applicants, dubya2004 and Hermit, but, when it comes down to it, I think Hermit is slightly better suited to my needs for the job.

I would like to appoint Hermit to the position of the Secretary of State. If the Senate would please vote to confirm him it would be much appreciated.

Hermit, please e-mail me and also niles so we both have a record of your e-mail address.

I applaud this decision by the President.

Congratulations Hermit. We will have to have a senate vote to confirm him. Either Harry can do this as his last act as PPT or if Harry isn't the PPT anymore....the President of the Senate (Andrew) will open up the vote.

Ah, Hermit opted for a freelance relationship with The Chronicle some time ago, a decision which seems to have agreed with his career options!

Although the main purpose of the Secretary of State is to deal with foreign relations, with the absense of Labor, Welfare, Health, and Education departments I would like our Secretary of State to advise the President on domestic issues aswell.
