NJ probably has the most diners per square mile. There's no way you guys have more places to eat at than CA. We are our own country. We have like 8 million more people than the whole of Canada.
Who said anything about more places to eat?  We have the most diners.  Diners are not found all across the country

This article says there's around 525 in New Jersey: http://blog.nj.com/njv_joel_schwartzberg/2007/07/the_truth_behind_nj_diners.html

So are there more than 525 in the other 49 states + DC? Hell if I know.

Warsaw: We have a city executioner, but he's not chopping off the heads only posing with tourists (with their heads on the block, of couse)

Poland: Our President is even shorted than Sarkozy, can you believe that?

Since I'm in Québec today:

Montreal: The city itself is on an island in the St Lawrence
Quebec: We came *this* close to becoming independent in 1995.

Bangor: has roughly as many churches and other places-of-worship as pubs, and this in a small university city. Hilarious. Welcome to North Wales!

Wales: despite what everyone thinks, Welsh is actually a remarkably easy language to pronounce correctly, just so long as you remember what all the letters mean.

---

Shropshire: there is no such thing as a Shropshire accent - once upon a time people from Market Drayton (a very North Staffs. sounding accent, really) would have had difficulty understanding a single word from someone from Clun (where people sound like they've just walked off the set of a Dennis Potter play).

Birmingham: despite it's reputation in the London media, it's actually a very nice place, for the most part.

The West Midlands: despite everything, some of the car industry is still here.

Glasgow - Home of the world's third oldest subway system.

Scotland - Parts of the Highlands have a lower population density than Siberia.

Manchester: Used to be a major cotton manufacturing city. Now a craphole.

Cheshire: One of the girls out of Girls Aloud is from there. I think. Also, the most charitable county in England apparently.

You think it was a nice place to live in back then?

It was just a craphole then. Now it's a recessed craphole.

At least people don't live in cellars now (yeah, even though most of inner Manchester is on old flood plain). To say nothing of the "delights" of the Angel Meadow (which is IIRC a car park now).

Rennes, France: Rennes is one of the two 'capitals' of Bretagne, with Nantes. We have the Parliament, Nantes has the Ducal castle.

Bretagne: WE HAVE 5 DEPARTMENTS, NOT 4.

Just found this out:

Louisville, CO: We are by no means a large town, with only ~18,000 people, but on our main street is a world class guitar store. They have guitars that are worth tens of thousands of dollars, and Bruce Springsteen as well as The Fray, and many other prominent bands, have bought guitars from this store.

Ll would be rather hard to pronounce if you weren't familiar.
