Our last poll before the primaries begin next weekend. Wixted and gporter have been removed from the poll, because it is unlikely either will enter the primary at this point (the deadline is Wednesday). You may still vote for them in "other", providing you specify it in a post.

Well I am likely to run again and if I do I will almost certainly place myself in the running in the primary. I would be happy to have your endorsement, though I've never been a supporter of primaries because our IRV system allows as many candidates to run without the possibility of any spoiler affect. I am holding off my formal announcement until tomorrow to talk things over with a few people.

If President Wixted dosen't decide to run, then I'll either support PolNut or Speed of Sound.

I'm counting Colin as a non-candidate for now, so as of now I'm undecided.

I am a candidate for the presidency of Atlasia and I already have a running mate if I am nominated in this primary. I am a candidate in the primary. Thank you.

I am not. But why would Wixted be taken out of the poll just because he has not announced his candidacy when he is a republican? I think that all of you do not like me, but you try to find a constructive reason to keep Wixted out of the poll and yhall have no reason for me being out of the poll. Thank you.
the reason you aren't in the poll is because you aren't a progressive. This is the PROGRESSIVE primary. Wixted IS a social progressive. You, however, are not. I advise EarlAW to not let him on the ballot.

My "other" vote would be for President Wixted, who has my full support in a re-election bid.

(I haven't even begun considering other candidates yet at this point—it's a still little early.)

I am not a progressive, but, if EarlAW allows non-progressives to compete in the primary, may I enter the primary?

You're running for President? Be my guest. You have until Wednesday to sign up, and don't forget to do it in the appropriate thread.

President Wixted has my fully pledged support now that he is running for President. Even though, as gporter said "he is a Republican".

Thank you Sensei I really don't think I could have said it better myself. I have always stood stridently for many of the objectives and goals of the progressive left in Atlasia, including the seperation of church and state, the decriminalization of drugs, and standing in opposition to government intrustion in the lives of Atlasians. My disputes with the stated goals of the Progressive Coalition, or Popular Front whatever you want to call it, are minimal and should not preclude my inclusion in this primary.

In the Senate both Jas and myself were progressives in social affairs and in some economic matters as well, as we both supported the Illegal Immigrant Act of Senator Porce, the Reproductive Rights Act, and I voted to reduce government subsidies to huge agribusinesses. I think my credentials stand for themselves.

Stop there. The word "progressive" is in there for a reason, not just because Earl felt it was a cool word to use.
