So now the battle for Florida is set: Romney v. McCain. Both will attack each other's records in predictable ways. And both candidates have many traits/beliefs that most Republicans wouldn't like, so there's alot to smear about.

So from this, perhaps Romney and McCain will do what Dean and Gephardt did in Iowa 4 years ago and tear each other down so much that someone else can get first place.

Giuliani could easily be this person, with many floridians learning new negative things about the McCain and Romney, they may find themselves remembering why they liked Giuliani to begin with, and he could easily squeak by with a 30% or less victory.

McCain, Romney, and Huckabee will all probably get 15-20% minimum, with Paul getting between 5 and 8%. That'll make it very easy to win, and if Giulaiani can just make sure he gets a bit more than a quarter of the votes by focusing on very specific constituencies, he could easily have the comeback he needs.

I expect Paul to do well in the Keys and in the Panhandle. I think Paul will do OK.

Well, Giuliani himself has now began attacking his opponents, recently criticizing both Romney and McCain over taxes. Giving that Florida is so vital for his campaign, I doubt he can keep himself from turning negative as well.
