Huckabee is looking like less and less a factor.  Conservatives are starting to get it that it's McCain vs. Romney, much like Democrats clearly understood that it was Clinton vs. Obama just before Edwards dropped out.

I agree with you.  Huckabee is drifting back into the second-tier where he started.  I bet he will drop out sometime late next week.

Really, aside from Iowa and South Carolina the South, he never left the second tier.

Fixed.

I was only counting the states that have voted so far.

No. Huckabee will come in close in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, but will ultimately lose to Mccain.

Romney has two states in the bag. One is his home state and the other is his cult followers state which 80% will vote for him. How scary. Idaho and Montana will probably go to him as well, along with Colorado.

It's only the Idaho Dems that will be voting on Tuesday.  The Idaho GOP doesn't vote for a while.

Huckabee will take Arkansa, probably GA, maybe TN, and  Missouri.  (And maybe WV - they apparently have their caucus on Feb 5 too)
Romney will take UT and MA, and probably CO, MT, and ND as these are closed caucuses.

And I don't buy the idea tthat Huckabee is "stealing" all his votes from Romney.  They are appeal to different demographics, and I don't see much appeal to Romney in most of the South.

Huckabee is campaigning full time for McCain now.

Yeah, I noticed that today.

I think everyone is campaigning for McCain these days except Romney and Ron Paul--if you consider him a candidate.
