Absolutely. I don't see anything she is too conservative on other than the one issue I care the least about and anything who thinks she isn't going to swing left in the Senate is kidding themselves.

For New York, yeah. Clinton would've fit in more in a state like Pennsylvania or something.

If we're talking about new-Gilly versus old-Gilly, then yes, obviously.

Clinton is a lot more hawkish on foreign policy than Gillibrand (probably just faux-hawkishness to try and out-man the men she was planning to face in her coming presidential run and not appear a wimp), and less of a civil libertarian.

Gillibrand will basically be Schumer + Good Government which is an improvement.

Also, Gillibrand doesn't have that partisan witch vibe, but it may just be the age differential Smiley

Definitely.  And STRONGLY preferred to Carolyn Kennedy.  I liked her speech on the gun control issue and support rifles for hunters, but she did address the need to curb gun violence which I liked.
