Due to a tie in the General Election, a Runoff Election is required in the Northeastern Governor's race.  The runoff ballot is as follows:

1)   .Andrew (UAC-NY)
2)   Siege40 (UL-ME)
3)   None of the Above

The runoff will be held this weekend, with the polls opening at Noon EDT on Friday, June 11th and closing at Noon EDT on Sunday, June 13th.

All voters who voted in the previous election need to cast their ballots AGAIN in this race.  All residents of the Northeast who were eligable to vote at the time of the previous election are eligable to vote in this election, even if they refrained from voting in that election.

No write-in votes will be accepted in this runoff.

Did Siege officially change his registration? I remember him saying that he's United Left now. Maybe not officially yet though. If not, Siege, make a post on the Register thread stating your change of party affiliation.

I endorse Siege40.  Sorry man for taking my vote away before.

Don't worry, you're still a cool guy, even if you are a Democrat, just kidding. Despite the fact that officially it can't be changed, I am a member of the United Left. I'm going to be honest, I was really surprised by the tie, was anyone else? Especially since JFK told me that my imminent loss would be sad, but all the better since Andrew is from the UAC.  Good luck Andrew, this should be fun.

It was certainly the biggest late comeback in the (short) history of the forum.

This race starts in a couple hours...will there be a new voting booth or will we re-use the old one?

Looks like we could have pretty high turnout.

After just 5 hours of voting, its tied 6-6.

Did you all notice who poked his head into the voting booth, after not being heard a word from in 3 weeks?

Shapesh**tter a.k.a. PBSUCKS wh came along and posted a load of profane crap about PBrunsel, Texasgurl and many others and then proceeded to "sh*t" on his Senate seat so no one else could take it. He later deleted this so it looked like he had done nothing wrong.

That is why we call him Shapesh**tter Smiley.

Regarding Shapeshifter, I surmise that he has been around the forum the past few weeks, but he's logging in under a different name so he won't be recognised.  I mean, all of a sudden, after 3 weeks with no posts, he pops in, casts a vote, and boom! gone again.  So he knew this election was taking place now.  I suspect the next time he posts something will be votes in next weekends election.

I really hope that doesn't happen.  Because we have nothing saying what to do in that case.  Maybe flip a coin?

The SC will have to make a call me thinks. Smiley

I think the best thing to do would be to keep the seat vacant and hold a new, special election or something.

We can't let the SC decide it....we would have to keep holding elections until someone wins.
