Who cares?  A stupid car dealer isn't going beat a big name guy like Portman.

Portman won't have much trouble raising that much money anyway.

$7 million is a lot, dude.  It's not like Portman has a statewide profile, just institutional support.  And a tough primary fight always forces candidates further to the left/right than they would want to go to compete in the general election.

Look at Pat Toomey, he's the only Republican Senatorial candidate out of Portman/Blunt/Simmons/Crist/others? that's said he would vote for Sotomayor...he's the only one without a primary fight.

It's not like Ohio is exactly a liberal bastion...

Yeah, but if the past 2 elections are indication, it's not a conservative bastion either?

Anyway, if this guy wants to waste 7 million, he could always just give it to me.

Or better yet give it to me.

IIRC, Ganley has something like 95% name recognition in northeast Ohio. That's obviously a big chunk of Ohio's population. That doesn't guarantee him significantly more votes in the region, but it does free up a lot of that cash to spend in greater numbers elsewhere in Ohio.
How? He has about 5% recognition (if that) in western Ohio.

Is Ganley not ashamed that all of his campaign money is coming from his own pocket?  What a loser.

By the way Lunar, it doesn't exactly look like Portman has a significant financial disadvantage. Smiley

What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?
