I'd like to have Spitzer over Paterson right now, but Cuomo's gonna be governor soon so I don't mind.

Well the race is Cuomo's to lose. He's mindless if he doesn't run.

Not necessarily. There are plenty of good reasons to not want to be Governor on New York right now.

I don't care how bad of shape we get in.  I will always prefer Paterson to Sheriff Steamroller.

Here's an interesting question, David Vitter and Elliot Spitzer were both guilty of the same thing. So why is Elliot Spitzer the disgraced ex governor of New York, while David Vitter is the junior senator of the state of Louisiana and a represntative of freedom and American family values?

1) Spitzer was caught in the middle of his fooling around, whereas Vitter's indiscretions came to light several years after the fact.

2) Louisiana has a tradition of their politicians being particularly "rougish" (the nicest word I could think of).

3) Vitter is a southern conservative. "Family values" of course is code for opposing women controlling their own reproduction, teaching Darwinism, and gay butt-sex. Not, say, how one actually treats  their own family.
