Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo is out.

Result of Round 13

Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo 5

Start of Round 14

This round will be more exciting  Wink

I vote for António Ramalho Eanes

General Eanes was the first democratic elected President. He wasn’t really bad, but he had no concept. In the end of his second term he created a party, the PRD. In the election 1985 they got over 18%, but this party collapse very fast, because they don’t know what they want. After the 1987 election (the PRD go down to 5%) he retires from politics.

Mario Soares. Though Eanes would have been my next target.

It's very difficult now.
Guterres, Sampaio, Cavaco Silva weren't big guys but weren't bad ones.
Soares is THE Portuguese leader, even if he may be more controversial.
Eanes is a bit dull and I haven't liked him, but, well, he was a bit a modern "father of the nation".

I don't want to waste my vote and we must have some suspense...

Soares

No, don't kill me, Hans-im-Glück !

That's democracy. Soares is my favourite, but when he is out (in the moment it`s a tie Wink) i don't cry.  Since Lewis the last rounds vote against him, i think Soares cannot win. By the way, 1975 i was a child (7 years old) and meet Mário Soares. He comes as foreign minster to my tiny little town in Germany. My father, he was from Portugal, go with me to the city hall and speaks with him. This day i think my father is very important Cheesy. It's 35 years ago, but this day I'll never forget.

No panic fab, i don't kill you. I'm not a violent man Wink.

António Ramalho Eanes is out.

Result of Round 15

António Ramalho Eanes 6
António Guterres 1

Start of Round 16

These are the Top 4:

Francisco Manuel Lumbrales de Sá Carneiro (1980)
Aníbal António Cavaco Silva (1985-1995); President (2006-present)
António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres (1995-2002)
Jorge Fernando Branco de Sampaio President (1996-2006)

You can 24 hours vote for the PM or President you want to eliminate.

I vote for Francisco Sá Carneiro

Sá Carneiro is the last of the short-time PM. He died in a plane crash and was only a few month PM. 1980 he created with Freitas do Amaral the AD (Democratic Alliance), a combined list of PSD, CDS and PPM. He had e lean victory in the election. After his death he is like a saint for the conservatives. I think he is overrated, because in his short term he makes nothing special and when it gave no accident he had the same failure like Pinto Balsemão.
