Francisco Sá Carneiro is out.

Result of Round 16

Francisco Sá Carneiro 4
António Guterres  2

Start of Round 17

These are the Final 3:

Aníbal António Cavaco Silva (1985-1995); President (2006-present)
António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres (1995-2002)
Jorge Fernando Branco de Sampaio President (1996-2006)

You can 24 hours vote for the PM or President you want to eliminate.

I vote for Aníbal Cavaco Silva

Now it will be difficult. None of the three is really good and my favorite is already out Cry .  I don't like Cavaco Silva (as president he is a little bit better). He changed his Portugal with his policy, but not only for good. There was no social progress who came from him. When he was at the government he lived only from the money of the European Union. Many, many money was wasted for nothing.

Cavaco Silva. Unlike all the other votes cast in this round  so far, this is not a partisan hack vote. This is a tactical vote to prevent a partisan hack vote next round.

Well, in any case, I can reveal my final vote: I want to make Sampaio to win Wink Cavaco Silva isn't that good....

Cheesy fab it's in the moment a tie, but maybe comes someone to vote. Xahar have this round not voted and Hashemite make the political test for Portugal and he had 86% for the PS Grin

I never expect that you are a Sampaio supporter. Maybe you like politicans they where in the past in leftist parties and in mainstream parties now. You voted for Barroso too and the was in the beginning in the Maoist PCTP-MRPP, Sampaio in the left-socialist MES Wink Grin

I know. In fact, I don't like those odd "evolutions" (but, I was trotskyite for one month at the age of 12, and then, rocardien-mendésiste until the age of 19... so maybe there's an explanation in here ! Wink).
That's just that Sampaio was a fine president (not very difficult in Portugal, you may say) and Cavaco Silva wasn't very loveable personally.

And, contrary to a part of my "reputation" (if I have one at all...) due to the World Leaders Survivor, Im' not basically a partisan hack (only if the others are: that's why I was ready to vote for Socrates when Barroso was voted in round one, for example).

I vote for António Guterres

I like both and it's very difficult to eliminate one. Sampaio I like a little bit more and his political opinion is closer to my. Maybe it is only so that as President you make fewer mistakes Wink

The Portuguese Survivor is over.

And the winner is:

Jorge Fernando Branco de Sampaio

The result of the final was:

António Guterres   5
Jorge Sampaio   1

I think we have a good winner. It's not my favourite, but he was a good President and Sampaio don't polarize so much. Guterres was Prime Minister and this is a possition the public have more to criticize.

I say Thank You to all voters. I think it was a nice Survivor of politcans of a small Country. In the moment it give more than enough Survivors here, but it exists many countries and organisations Wink. I think we see more of them here Smiley
