A number of eurpoean countries have quasioffically sanctioned 'sharia' law to supplant their own laws in their own countries.

The results have been atrocious.

Here's a longish article about an attempt to inflict if on the United States:

It isn't news that religions suck, and that Muslimism is the worst of a bad lot, but good lord Heydan, we have more pressing problems than that.

Either the women of the west have gone soft like the men, or nobody ever reports on outraged women's groups over sh**t like this.  Shouldn't NOW be defending this girl? (and the hundreds or thousands of others)  I'm not saying the men in the west (and the sane Muslim men of the world) need to stand by quietly waiting for the ladies, but the women of the west should be leading the band.

The only European country the article mentions is England, and this is in the context that two men were convicted of murder after a so-called "honor killing".

Correct.  It seems Canadians are the ones rolling over here.

Horrible news...

I only hope that France would not fall into this medieval reactionarism, though our President seems loving this sort of things...
