Here is an Arizona statewide for President.  it shows the precincts in Maricopa as I have been able to identify them.  You know if I was in charge of that, every precinct would be immediately identifiable by it's number which city it was in.  And the islands?  They have overlay area codes, they can have overlay precincts.

Im not signing up for that scrib service, but are they sort of weird names - like school names or street names.  My district is Colonnade I think.

All the precincts have names in Phoenix and they are intermingled with other cities precinct names.  You do have to sign up to download files, but as they say, they have never sent me an email to get me to buy anything or tell me stuff.

Precinct 165 - went for Obama  796 to 620.

McCain was assigned the exact same voting place as me.  We had news vans and reporters outside the church all day.  I got there earlier than him - he showed around 9am or so.  I was there at like 6am or something, had to wait an hour and a half to vote.

I'm in the bright red area at the far right where the red ends and begins becoming blue.  Yay Scottsdale, Tempe and East Valley.

Yes Arizona did vote for John McCain in 2008 and he was from that state. HOWEVER, It was only by about 10 points or so. Furthermore, Bush winning Arizona when he won both of his elections is still not THAT impressive. Yes Arizona leans to the right, but it's not the solid Kansas type Republican state that it was before the 90's. Bill Clinton barely lost that state when he ran and even won it in 1996. It was somewhat close in 2000 as well. Let's see what happens in 2012 and 2016. I'm interested and think the GOP will win there by small margins.
