All kidding aside, these are some very big statements, even if it's merely a means to energize their base.  Personally, both parties are equally wrong/right on the environment and health care.  Any steps taken to reduce pollution and stregthen our natural reserves are good actions, and both parties are working towards that.  However, they just have different paths to get there.  Personally, I think the government should take a lead from Ford Motors with their new assembly plant.  The building is as environmentally friendly as possible, including actual grass and trees growing on the roof (natural insulation) with forced draft intakes to bring in fresh outside air as well as tons of skylights to let in natural light (less electricity).  I look out of my window here in the city, and I see the potential for 50 little "rooftop parks" for people to spend their lunch times kicking back and relaxing during a stressful day.  That beats the empty dirt lot which is used as over-flow parking during conventions.

Anyway, that's my "Green" speech for the day.  Back to being a capitalist.  hahaha
