From an (R) pollster aswell I see, giving Corzine the lead in likely votes. Although, this is still nothing more than an outlier in my opinion, the sample's really small and the pollsters not exactly very well heard of.

You two are both idiots, its a push poll done by Lonegan's henchman, his polls showed Lonegan beating Corzine and within a few points of Christie going into the primary

But Christie's lead isn't going up nor down, it is stablizing where it was suppose to be all along 5 to 6 points.

No, not only reputable poll has it that close, in fact Rasmussen, Monmouth, PPP, and Strategic Vision, who all have track records in NJ, have it at double digits still.  Only one Quinnipiac showed it at 6.  The other polls that have come out are all internals and agenda driven polls

R2k had a poll out, and it had it within 8, and we still have yet to hear from Survey USA. Also, those polls were taken 7/31, before the revelations.  I think it is closer than most people thought at this point.  But we will see.

So because one semi-reputable poll put it at an 8 point race suddenly Christie's lead has stabilized at 5 or 6 points?  Do you listen to yourself talk?

Have you looked at the internals of the R2K poll? Tell me you can do so without bursting out laughing.

Why would Lonegan's people pay for a poll like this over a month after he lost the primary to Christie?

So he could (1) show up Christie, who he doesn't like, and (2) try to "prove" his point that a Republican needs to run hard right to win New Jersey:

"If Corzine gets his liberal/urban/Democratic base together he's going to open up a significant lead, forcing Christie to work the right," Shaftan wrote in his analysis.

Shaftan is a jackass.

NJ Dems tend to have cold feet during the summer (this is news to nobody here I hope). It looks like the same old song and dance is going to play out here but the good news for Christie is that he was so far ahead to begin with that he may be able to survive the unavoidable tightening.

like the Assembly candidate in LD03 who was disowned for using and being unapologetic about using the word "n*gger."

No, I think that every reputable pollster have said people are taking a second look at Christie and Corzine and not just follow the corruption angle of Corzine. I think people are willing to think about voting for Corzine, since Christie has been open to more scrutiny.

Until now, there hasn't been a single reputable pollster out on the race since the loan developments.

In reality, though, Corzine's not losing because people think he's corrupt (or not cracking down on corruption).  Corzine's losing because people think he's done a lousy job as governor with regard to taxes and the budget.

The only way for Corzine to win is to make the alternative unacceptable, which he seems to be trying to do with some success.

Despite, the odds, Corzine's chances are fairing much better these days, I think not the Republicans are coming back home to Corzine, moderate Dems who are the swing group are coming back home for Corzine.

They know, that the economy is not a quick fix and things are starting to turn around.  If the economy gets better by November, the odds would be more in Corzine's favor.

Corzine doesn't have to win until the final poll is taken on election day.

Despite what you think, Corzine numbers are better than they were a month ago, and the picking of Weinberg has helped Corzine in the polls, Corzine has a better chance now, more than anything.

I'm not disputing the fact that Corzine's numbers have improved, moving the race from a double-digit Christie lead to a mid-to-high single-digit Christie lead.

Weinberg has nothing to do with that, though—these polls all show her name recognition to be incredibly low.
