Of course when DWDL tries (yes, this was a dump, provocative move) to join JCP you wanted to kick him oiut already, but you're willing to accept someone, who's ideologically very smilliar to him and really not fit for JCP

Typical bourgeoisie.

Mon dieu, you're getting red Wink

I don't think I am ready to go there yet, officially.

But DWDL is... well DWDL.

Sorry for using a language. Well., Gporter is not an arrogant, drunken jerk, but is surely crazy far-right winger, duh

No, he isn't. He's never said anything that could be considered far-right. His views are actually moderate left. I don't know why he has the blue avatar.

He's white and Southern.

Tennessee isn't really Southern.

Former Confederate state.

So was Virginia. I don't hope you're suggesting that Northern Virginia is Southern?

People change, and grow up. I think he was like twelve when he made that gaffe and it was years ago. He's matured a lot since then and I'm willing to give him a second chance.

It could be if you are dumb enough to agree with it.

His debate with me really reaked of maturity if you know what I mean. Wink

Voting on the basis that Lief is correct in noting Raoul and Xahar are in fact ineligible to serve in the Senate at this time:

Southeast Senate re-vote
[  ] gporter (JCP)
[  ] Raoul (JCP)
[  ] Xahar (LNF)
[ 1 ] No endorsement

I'm sorry but, while a lot of Gporter's shenanigans were before my time, I'm not entirely convinced that he's come far enough to sit in the Senate. Maturity issues aside, I'm much more concerned that his registering with the JCP and seeking our endorsement is 1% ideological compatibility and 99% political opportunism. If I honestly felt GPorter even generally supported the Party's goals I'd vote to endorse, but I strongly suspect he's registering JCP as it's his best (only?) chance at a senate seat this term, though he'd gladly prefer registering DA, or <shudder> PCP in a heartbeat if it offered an equal chance at election somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, Porter. If you show that you are no longer a conservative and are now even a moderate-ish progressive, I'll gladly eat my words and may very well back you in some future race. Heck, if you were seeking an endorsement for an assembly seat against two ineligible candidates I'd vote to endorse you and see what happened (especially considering the likely alternatives in the DS). But for the Senate? Nuh-uh. Not now anyway.

PS to Bgwah: If Xahar and Raoul aren't eligible for election, why are we even including their names for potential endorsement? If that's true then it seems we should just choose between Gporter or no endorsement.

Why not just endorse Xahar? It'd be interesting to see what happens, at the very least.

As he's currently ineligible to serve: interesting=useless.

Once the ban's lifted, we'll see.

Creating the Vice-Chair position was a good idea on my part, I don't regret bringing up the idea of opening up the party leadership positions and getting more people involved.

I do, however, regret my entry into the position of Vice-Chair, as my natural fiery attitude and brutal rhetoric has put my party in an awkward position. I always just thought of myself as "a JCP member just saying what's on my mind," even now I think that, but my position in the party leadership stains the entire JCP image with my own words, and that's not what I wanted.

Truthfully, when I say things like "I don't support you and I know others don't" or "You're an idiot" or some other opinion of mine, I personally believe in them for the most part. But now, it makes my entire party look like it endorses those beliefs, and that is not what I like.

I want my personal opinions to simply be my personal opinions. Even now, I don't speak for the party when I say such things. But lets open the position to other, kinder Wink, individuals.

I resign my position as JCP Vice-Chair.

Sorry for forgetting to make this official!

SE Senate Endorsement:
1) gporter
2) Xahar
3) Raoul

IN OTHER PARTY NEWS, I'm sorry to see the Vice Chairmanship didn't work out for Marokai. I think the last action of our convention will be to vote on a replacement. Anyone interested in the position has 48 hours to declare their candidacy.

This may do him more harm than good, however. Tongue

Isn't the Vice Chair supposed to be fiery?

*looks at self*

Seems so.
