I am a libertarian leaning moderate conservative independent from Southern California. I think that cutting corporate taxes in my state will help business grow and create jobs. I am what a "moderate Republican" today should be. I am to the left of most Republicans, but I am also well to the right of most Democrats. I think the Affordable Care Act needs to go. I support free market solutions to healthcare. I believe a higher minimum wage will make the standards of living better. I believe lower taxes and a higher minimum wage will help economic conditions. I support same sex marriage. I would like a 15% flat income tax to simplify the tax code. I support free trade without protectionism, but not the trade deals like NAFTA and TPP that erode sovereignty. I support keeping Medicare and Medicaid as is. I support the Social Security "lockbox" act to keep the funds in Social Security. I oppose privatization of New Deal and Great Society programs. I think Dodd-Frank needs to be repealed because it it a burden on businesses in the country. I am pro-choice as long as abortion is within 20 weeks, with exceptions for certain circumstances.
