Once again, to those who approve, what has he done that is worthy of approval?  I really do want to know.

Sometimes "do no harm" is worth approving of.    The recession is ending, and one could argue it would naturally end anyway......so he hasn't harmed its ending even if you don't think he helped it end.

Also, I find a huge difference in "tone" when it comes to foreign affairs, which I like somewhat.  I'm satisfied with US/Russia relations (removing the defense shield idea helped) but you can never fully trust the Russians.   He's making nice nice with the Chinese which most Presidents have done because they own a lot of us.  He's taking a hard line privately with Israel I believe which is good because we can't have them go rogue.

We're having a good conversation on health care because it does need reformed, but I just hope we end up with a good bill.......but I'm not that hopeful.

Overall.......don't screw it up or do no {more} harm is worth somewhat approval.

Once again, to those who approve, what has he done that is worthy of approval?  I really do want to know.

-Banned CIA torture
-Set strict ethics rules for executive branch employees
-Ended the Mexico City Policy
-Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
-SCHIP expansion, giving 4 million more children health insurance
-The stimulus bill, which though flawed, has managed to keep unemployment lower than it would have been without government stimulus, and will update and rebuild American infrastructure
-Lifted ban on embryonic stem cell research
-Nominated a smart, qualified, not-insane judge to the Supreme Court
-Began the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, which will continue through August 2010
-A renewed focus on diplomacy, international institutions, and cooperation and dialogue with allies and adversaries
-Delivered a historic, first of its kind speech in a major Muslim city
-Overturned a Bush administration policy that would have opened up offshore drilling
-Cash for clunkers program, an effective, popular government program
-Increased executive branch transparency

And a health care bill of some sort will be passed in a few weeks. A cap and trade bill has already been passed in the House and is now in the Senate.

He's not perfect, I'll be the first to admit that. But the idea that he hasn't accomplished anything is ridiculous.

I forgot about the stem cell ban being lifted.......very important in my view
