Yes, really.  If Obama was not in the White House, Democrats would probably easily be winning New Jersey and be in a dead heat in Virginia.  Obama is destroying the party.

As far as I can tell, he believes that parties should continuously lose upballot races in order to win downballot races, or something like that.

Name one thing that Obama has done so far that is any different than any other possible President or even McCain?

The pressure he's putting on Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israelis is amazing.  Quite honestly, he's the gutsiest president on that issue since Eisenhower.
