I live in the STL are but have never dared to go within 10 miles of that place.

You're certainly within 10 miles of "that place" if you've ever done anything in the center of St. Louis City

Surprising the notability of some people from East St. Louis. I guess they lived there before the city went so far downhill.

Durbin is from there.

But I think he was born there before it took a turn for the worse
