It would have been perfect for 2 reasons.

1) Lack of white guilt.
2) Its a lot harder for Muslims to dislike the Chinese than Westerners.

side benefit: we'd still be needlessly torturing innocent Uighurs!  They would never be forced to live in Palau where their innocence makes us feel guilty about our own moral failures!
