Crist should go Indie to further marginalise Republican Moderates.

That's kinda a stretch given the data, no?

Besides, he's not going to run as an independent, and a wet rag could beat Meek.

But according to this one poll at least, Rubio is running well behind a wet rag.

It will be interesting to see how much damage the primaries do the Republicans.  I'm not sure if they've realized how bad things could be for them if they continue to allow the tea baggers to run amok.  It would be awesome if a viable alternative party emerged out of it all.

Republicans would be slaughtering Democrats right now if they could just unite and make some remotely sane decisions. Hilariously, they continue to fail on these fronts.

not gonna happen. Crist is a great politician, he'll get through the primary and win the general in a landslide.

Thanks Auburn.

The ignorance on this thread is amazing.  Let's ignore that this was a propaganda poll by DailyKos.  Nobody in FL outside of officials in Tallahassee even care about this election yet.  There has been ZERO position and close to ZERO media on the election.  Nothing is about to happen and if Rubio (somehow) closes on Crist or starts to make things interesting, we won't know for a while (Spring or later).

Hey Lief, while I'm posting here, why don't you get over the Corzine loss already.  Get a grip!

You're welcome.

Also, Remember also that this is an entire state, NOT a congressional district. I know you come from the panhandle where Republicans are conservative. My part of the state is a Dem stronghold, but Crist is popular among Independents, Republicans, AND some Democrats.

I have no fear Crist will pull through.

I don't think Crist will have any problem pulling through; that said, it'd be interesting to see Crist (R) v. Meek (D) v. Rubio (I) in a poll, and see if there's any difference.

Wrong, unlike Deeds, Crist has both the name and fundraising advantage.
And unlike Deeds he is also is leading in the polls.

I think Rubio has a great chance at winning. Probably close to 30-35%. Obviously, Crist should still be considered the favorite, but I would take the odds on Rubio. Rubio vs. Meek will be a close one with Rubio prevailing and becoming the frontrunner for 2016.

The Hispanic Reagan.  my life. Republicans will rally around this guy, especially with the Crist homosexual allegations that will alienate primary voters.
