US: Democratic
UK: Lib Dem, mostly.  While I do like David Cameron, I don't know if he's sincere in the new direction he's leading the Tories, and the specter of what the Tories were not long ago ("are you thinking what we're thinking?") is strong enough to keep me from trusting them with my vote.
France: Non-party member.  Militantly non-party member.  If forced to choose, probably MoDem (or, in the old days, UDF).
Germany: Green/CDU swing voter.  I couldn't see myself voting for the SPD.
Italy: contra Berlusconi.  Currently, that'd be the PD.
Israel: The "Get-me-a-plane-ticket-out-of-here" party.

Yes, I read that. What I was getting at is that all of the factions in the SLP (whether still in it or not) are, in practice, Stalinist. While the article gives a very different impression (not that it would be a problem for anyone British and over a certain age - the name "Arthur Scargill" is more than enough).

Apart from the fact that they're not a real party, you're not a European centrist.

I found his endorsement of Likud more disturbing.

His endorsement of NC isn't disturbing, he's always had disturbing choices in some places, but his endorsement of NC is more laughable since it's so wrong.

That's what I was thinking, but in certain cases I might vote Labour to keep out the Conservatives.

USA - Why does the sentence "I can't take this anymore, I'm going to clown college" come to mind?
UK - Why would join one of those?
France - Parti Opportuniste
Germany - That joke neo-Stalinist party. For the lulz.
Italy - The bloated Ego/Mafia Party
Spain - PSOE
Israel - Why would I live here?
South Korea - Whichever one has the craziest conspiracies theorists
Japan - Communists
Canada - NDP I guess
Australia - Greenies

La Sinistra arcobaleno doesn't exist anymore. It has split up again between a new Communist alliance with the PRC and the PdCI and a new left-type alliance with the uber-hippy Greenies and some socialists.

LOL That corroborates the "suicide" option.

Huh

I could understand joining it in the past (patronage is a powerful motivator), but to join a machine patronage party that no longer has the power to reward its faithful?  That'd be like joining PRI in 2001.

US -  an independent, though, probably, leaning D these days courtesy of the last Bush administration.
UK - solid LDP
France - who knows. Probably, a very disaffected UMP supporter, prone to defection though (I am a Chirac guy, don't have much love lost for Sarkozy)
Germany - solid FDP
Italy - PD, as there is no non-fascist right in Spain
Spain - PSOE (see Italy)
Catalunya - CiU (I don't much care about Catalanism or whatever, but I'd avoid being a socialist, if I can)
Israel - Hadash (bursting out crying: I hate them, but, at least, I wouldn't consider it a blot on my reputation to pass by their headquarters)
South Korea - independent. No natural home there. Ideological preference for GNP, but don't like too much about it.
Japan - DPJ (LDP is ok, but the bastards had to be kicked out)
Canada - strong Liberal. Go, Grits!
Australia - Labor. Until the last Lib who voted for Howard dies, I won't forgive or forget. After that, I'd be happy to go Lib Smiley
South Africa - DP (but, please, don't put up white candidates in Mpumalanga)
India - INC (unfortunately, the alternative is worse)
Poland - strong PO
Chile - comfortable Christian Democrat
Brazil - PSDB
Denmark - Radikale Venstre
Netherlands - D66

And, in truth:

Mexico - PAN-leaning independent

I think you would be in the New Democratic Party in Canada, not the Liberal Party which is a center party.

USA - Democrats
UK - Mostly Liberal Democrats, I'd vote Labour if they had a good candidate in my constituency though.
France - Eh, PS usually, one of the radical communists if I was in a safe district or there was no risk of a Chirac/Le Pen type scenario again.
Germany - PSD, might vote Linke in some cases.
Italy - No real point in joining a party here, the fascists are the only ones who stick together. Looks like the Democratic Party now is the choice, being a coalition of basically "We're not Berlusconi or fascists".
Spain - PSOE
Israel - Balad
South Korea - Don't like any of them. DEP or one of the minor left wing parties.
Japan - DPJ or Communists.
Canada - NDP
Australia - Labour
Greece - SYRIZA
