Did anyone get a chance to see Jon Stewart on CNN's "Crossfire" last week? I guess Begala and Carlson thought he'd show up and tell a few jokes, but he came on with an agenda, and I can't say that I disagree with it.
He basically confronted Begala and Carlson (and directed his comments towards other commentators like them) and said that they were only playing right into the candidates' hands. They are no more than cheerleaders for their respective ideologies and parties, and they certainly don't do the American people a service by not asking tough questions and trying to expose politicians' underhandedness.
Way to go, Jon! His approach is a little tactless, but it gets the job done. Here's a video:
