Let's imagine if Margaret Thatcher hadn't resigned as PM back in 1990. Would she have won in the 1992 general election? I think she could have held on, but she would have had to abolish the newly formed poll tax in order to maintain her support from the voters. Also, Labour were deemed unelectable until at least the mid 1990's so maybe she would have won in 1992 by default.

Probably would have squeaked out a narrow victory. It all depends on events really.

I'd assume that Labour would win. Kinnock was, after all, very close in RL 1992 against Major, and I'd expect in combination with recession, the signing of the Maastricht Treaty and Thatcher's extensive tenure as Prime Minister among others Labour couldn't possibly lose.
