Champ Clark wins the Democratic nomination & Presidency in 1912. The Republicans nominate Charles Hughes in 1916 as in RL. WWI still starts in 1914 and is stalemated by 1916, with Clark refusing to commit U.S. troops yet (even though he does not rule out the possibility of the U.S. entering WWI later). I think that in this case, Hughes would win in a landslide, but what do the rest of you think?

How would the election turn out? Discuss with maps please.
