Well maybe not the impeached Johnson, but certainly the Johnson coming off electoral victory in 1864 with Abe Lincoln.

Johnson was very much like Polk, southern populist that served in times of war.

WVA, LA, and TN probably would have trended towards Johnson's way the others can be argued.

Disenfranchisement among blacks were very widespread in the south except for Florida.

Polk and Pierce both won Iowa and NH before the Civil War and I was thinking in terms of that.

But on the other side of things NY and NJ weren't going Democratic.

Probably the result would be similar to the 1904 result concerning alton parker without TX.

You are very much incorrect on that one, the earlier maps not so much because those maps are controversal, but the present time maps like from the 1960's onward I am very much accurate on my predictions.
