It will happen this weekend. Probably Saturday. 10 days till election day. Just in time for the Sunday talk shows.

Bush will fly to Iraq or Afghanistan for a photo op. My money is on Iraq.

A True October surprise:

Chirac and Allawi fly to DC next week to meet with Bush.  Chirac comes out saying that they will supply special forces to Iraq for the elections in January in exchange for somekind of trade deal with Iraq.  Allawi stands between the two leaders and joins them in a collective handshake and a picture-perfect moment which gets plastered on the global newsstands the next day.

hahaha . . . hey, it could happen . . . and I could win the lotto too.  *laughs*

Bush flies to Thailand, where he is seen in a... place of ill repute... with Opebo.  Opebo mugs for the camera; wins big modeling and acting contract.  Bush loses every state in the election (his outer shell of good morals would be ruined!)

I believe that the October surprise will be Dick Cheney ripping off his faux mortal flesh and revealing that is in, in fact, a robot, but a good robot - and his only desire is a real heart. The senate will then aww, and break into a spontaneous riverdance, led in a bipartisan effort between Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA).
