Vermont, clearly. Useless and nothing unique.

That are equally unique and beautiful about New Hampshire and Northern NY.

Not really, no. Vermont and New Hampshire of course have some similarities, but they are quite different culturally. And neither are comparable to New York. Vermont has quite a bit of unique features that set it apart from other states.

It would be pretty cool to have the three northern New England states left to battle for the top prize, so I hope Oregon and Washington are the next states to go.

For the same reason as last round. What's so bad with Hawaii ?

Hawaii has only even been a state since it was conquered by U.S. imperialism just a few decades ago. Hawaii has it's own culture and is not representative of traditional American culture.

New Hampshire has been a state since the colonial period and is a beautiful expression of the American traditions of freedom, independent-thought, and strong democratic institutions.

But of course, I know partisan hackery conquers all around here.

"OMG, out of the states remaining, New Hampshire voted Republican once in the past twenty years- it must go!"

New Hampshire caused the US to have one of their worse President of any time. It is indirectly responsible, between other things, of a stupid unmotivated and bloody war that destabilized the entire Mid-East. So yes, I think it deserves to be ousted for that.

Why not blame West Virginia?  At least then you'd have a traditionally Democratic state that Bush straight up won.

In the case you didn't notice, West Virginia has been ousted dozens of rounds ago.

I'm not talking about the game, but whatever.  Obfuscate away.

Pay them no heed. New Hampshire deserves to win this.

I don't know about that, but laying Bush's presidency at its feet is retarded, especially when a bare plurality voted from him.

Blaming voters for what happened in the future is even worse, since no one expected Bush to be quite that horrible.

Now personally I probably wouldn't go to Hawaii, too damn humid for my tastes, but I can't but help notice that there seems to be a tinge of traditionalist attitude in this post.  Frankly, I find this reasoning almost as bad as the people who said they would vote out New Hampshire just because it voted for Gore.  Sure, it might've been acquired in not so honest ways, but it is still a state whether we like it or not and the people in that state are still (gasp) Americans.  But noes!  Just because it wasn't with us the whole entire time, just because Americans weren't living there in 1700's it automatically makes it inferior.
I was under the impression of which states people like the most right now, not based on which one has the most peachy history.

Oh and I vote Washington.
