Judging by her relationships w/ the Alaska state legislature and her propensity for getting involved in spicy scandals, I can hardly see her being president for any extended period of time and not antagonizing even the Republicans in Congress to an extent that would make most of her presidency one big televised congressional investigation. It would have been very, very ugly continuous sequence of scandals. Her capacity of passing anything big through Congress 6 moths past becoming president would have become negligible. Consequently, I don't really think it would have been very different from a David Patterson presidency
