Haha, just when you think PPP poll was bad here comes Rasmussen to show that even the biggest Republican no-name is +14 on Lincoln. She's actually in Dodd territory now.

Yep just as I suspected all year...she's done either by defeat or retirement.

It's time to see how her primary challenger(s) are doing.

Good question.  Of course, if PPP is right, they're still getting killed by Republicans by roughly similar numbers.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Obama is too dominant of an image in this region for anyone to have a chance.  West Virginia works because it has far more institutionalized incumbents who actually know how to connect with their working-class constituents, unlike Lincoln, who is a decent fundraiser but a mediocre performer at seeming even remotely confident in her beliefs.  I signed up for her email blasts a couple weeks ago and they are rather silly...honestly, they remind me of David Paterson's more than any other candidate.

Also, note, even West Virginia doesn't look one tenth the swing that Arkansas appears in the map, too lazy to look up the deets

I should add that Boozman seems the least likely of any of the candidates to have some candidacy-killing secret/gaffe/biography, which is probably one of the things Lincoln was most hoping for.

God knows what Lowden said in her 3rd grade class's show-and-tell, well, God and Harry Reid.  The advantage against an unknown opponent is the dirt you can dig up, Boozman doesn't strike me as the type who even has much potential for a lot of dirt.  The DSCC is looking, I'm sure.

Not really. Arkansas is not very right-wing on economics. They didn't like or trust Obama, though, and the Democrats are getting destroyed elsewhere as well. Again, Lincoln was always too liberal for Arkansas. Think of her as the Rick Santorum of the left. She got lucky in her first re-election bid but she couldn't fool the public much longer and now that the tide is turned even more against the Democrats, she has no chance at all.

That.

Also, IMO the above map and the current Democratic woes in Arkansas can be almost directly linked to Hillary losing the primary.  I don't think its a coincidence that the state with the biggest Republican swing in a huge Democratic year is also the heart of Clinton country.
