Considering the awful situation, the state and her rather high-profile opponents; she's pretty damn favoured if not safe.

Leads ranging from 7 to 22% isn't really that competitive. This is definitely a seat to watch, but she starts out with a pretty decent advantage.

You might be able to say that Nelson is somewhat competitive, but the others - not so much. It is interesting that Herseth Sandler is a few points below 50% in that race, though.

Herseth Sandlin is SAFE, but a Republican could win if Thune is unopposed and republican candidate for governor wins in a landslide. Democrats have to nominate a challenger for Thune, if he gets more than 90%, Sandlin will have a huge problem.
